Condition is new for anyone put off by the seller's name

It means IPS or VA panel which offers wide Viewing angles. Now, no laptop comes with VA panel display and it means this is IPS.
Now a days, a lots of manufacturer don't explicitly use the term IPS or TN, including HP. HP refers their TN display as SVA or Standard Viewing Angle and WVA or Wide Viewing Angle for IPS Display. 178 degree viewing able is the trademark of IPS panel. Asus uses the same terminology for lots of their products.

Last time I bought from them, they took over a month to ship.

Thanks for clarifying that. Yes, in the last deal, lots of people were confused by the seller's name.

Can you be more specific? Did you not get what you expected? Was there other problems with your past purchase? This looks like a good deal for what I need.... But don't trust eBay much so your comment makes me pause....

My experience was that they were really helpful. I bought the 15.6 inch screen vivobook and they were very quick to reply back, faster with shipping than what was estimated (after a delay since ASUS was late with the shipment), and all around very nice.

specs seem solid for the price. I would consider this if I didn't order the refurb envy 13 recently.

And how did you understand that? By looking at the picture of the display? Anyway, I know that it has not been mentioned in eBay product page and in that case you can just go to the manufacturer's page for more details: -
https://www.asus.com/us/2-in-1-PC...fications/

In the above page, under Specification tab, it is clearly mentioned to have
178˚ wide-viewing angle display which refers to IPS display.

You sound like a shill. Doesn't make much sense to be faster than estimated shipping, and then say ASUS was late with their shipment - weird knowledge to have since ASUS isn't shipping you the computer.
