this is supposed to be the new version of the anker soundcore and soundcore 2, but not enough reviews to pull the trigger. all the reviews look like the typical glowing 5 star paid reviews to me. if it's better than the soundcore 2 though, this is a great price. also wonder how this compares to the tribit xsound go?

Bought one. Hopefully it sounds like a bassier soundcore 2. I wanted the pro+ or Boost but those are out of my price range

I have tried all these smaller speakers, and settled on a manufacturer refurbed sony xb30 last month! $45 bucks, and actually lasts close to 8 hours on full volume. I had both the soundcore 2 and soundcore boost, and there is no comparison. Save your money!

I don't think this is accurate, it's a more basic version of the Soundcore 2 since it only has 12 hour playtime vs the Soundcore 2's 24 hour playback.

it's not more basic, it's meant to play louder than previous soundcores so the battery life is shorter. it is also rated ipx7, whereas the soundcore 2 is ipx5.

newer version of the soundcore 2 per reviews and anker's description i believe. the boost is 20w and this is 12w, so same wattage as the sc 2. per the description it's meant to play louder than previous soundcores, hence the shorter battery life of 12+ instead of the 24hr rating of the soundcore 2. check out the reviews, if they're true this could be a solid deal.

"Meant" being the operative word. Its got two 6W speakers just like the soundcore 2 and it costs $10 less. Only difference is the ip rating and half the battery life. Better off with the soundcore 2

This one can also pair 2 speakers wirelessly. Sounds like a major update to me.

Really? So you own this speaker and have compared the sound quality side by side with the soundcore2 ?? Exactly, didn't think so. Neither have I so hoping owners of the new version can contribute their two cents. It's only cheaper because it's on sale lol, it's not always $31. Sound quality is what matters so if it sounds better than the sc2 and is more durable outside, to me it's an upgrade. Personally I don't think the sc2 sounds very good, so I'm interested in how the sound quality is compared to the tribit at this price. The tribit is highly rated by CNET and pcmag, so that's what this Anker motion b should be shooting for.

Same. I was interested in the Tribit too since it produces a fuller sound than the SC2. Not sure how this compares.

Thinking of getting that sony one too. Sampled a few like boom and stuff but it sounded too basic
