FDA has data on mercury content of seafood. While it does not give a cut off of which foods to avoid, there are many other websites you can easily find that do give such recommendations. Many such websites cutoff seafood at the content level of lobster and worse.

https://www.fda.gov/food/foodborn...115644.htm

In general, the larger fish grows before being caught for consumption, the higher the toxic mercury has accumulated in the flesh of the fish. That is why large fish such as chilean seabass and tuna are known to have high content of mercury. While smaller fish harvested earlier have not yet accumulated high levels of mercury such as sardines, freshwater trout, and salmon.

Also, the USA government has recommended that pregnant women and young children avoid fish with high mercury content. You can imagine the lobbying effort of the fish industry trying to stop any official government recommendation to avoid some of their products. But the science is compelling enough that even the government felt obligated to issue the recommendation. That says a lot about the concern of mercury in some fish.

I have not had any tuna in last 5 years even at sushi restaurants. I stick with the low mercury content seafood cooked (or for sushi, which usually means salmon).

I did not claim this was a deal. That is why it is posted as a product review of safety of various seafoods.
I apologize to those who find this product review not of any interest.
