Yikes, that a lot of money. I'd build a desktop rig before that.

I agree; you can build a desktop at a lower cost but honestly havent seen any laptop with GTX 1080 under 1500$. I see only two downsides in the specs - 60 Hz screen and the 7th gen i7. Otherwise its pretty solid for the price. However I cannot comment on the seller.

These prices made me build mini itx in SFF.
8600k + board from MC = $350
Cougar qbx = $50
Ram = $150
Used 1080 FE = $350-400
Atx PSU = $50
Nvme/ ssd = $100
Cryorg/ Noct cooler = $20-50

$1100 for a beast of a portable pc

oh ok. Thank you. As far as i can see, you can add ram and possibly replace the hdd with a ssd (not sure if it has another pcie slot for an nvme ssd though). Also couldnt find any beer spill reliability test online Smilie haha.

Yes, the build and the price seems to be reasonable with the current prices...ssd prices are dropping like crazy these days.
