No lens shift.

The HT2550 has a fixed projection angle that throws an image such that the bottom edge of the projected image is a few inches (or about 10% of the image height) above the centerline of the lens. There is no lens shift, so take care to install the projector as precisely as possible relative to the screen.

Epson 4K projectors have lens shift. But those are not true 4K just higher pixels 5040UB. Also higher price. I believe Epson 4000 is another one in bit lower range.

I have older Epson 5020UB and love the lens shift feature due to layout and height in my basement. Epson has best in class lens shift in terms of % it can do both horizontal and vertical.

No.none of the projectors in this price range is true 4K. But it protects 4k pixels on the screen by shifting. Also Epson 5040 and jvc though rated higher only project 2k pixels.

Wait for 2nd gen. I have a TI based 4k projector (0.66" DMD) and while it does throw a great picture, it could use a few simple improvements.. contrast for one, and input lag (very important to me for gaming)

This is a really great price however, so if you're not planning on waiting by all means bite. Personally I wish I would have waited for a laser light sourced 4k projector, they are under $3k if I'm not mistaken.

A better question is what will replacement bulbs cost in 2,3 or 4 years when I need to replace them.
