The reviews on MassDrop are hammering it for quality issues.

I'll pass.

Funny... I see really good reviews on MassDrop and also Amazon. I personally have one of these Arozzi gaming desks in blue and it is amazing how well built it is. Sure it is expensive but it is built like a tank. It has tons of room for my three 27 inch monitors with lots of extra to spare.

can you write on pieces of paper without stabbing your pencil through the paper due to the microfiber cloth surface?

That cloth surface would be called a mouse pad. It covers the entire desk surface. It is optional so you don't have to use it if you don't want to. Not to mention you can always put something under your paper like I do when you need to write something down. (common sense... I know some of us have it) Also this is a gaming desk not a writing desk so there is a difference. If you don't like the desk don't make the purchase. Find something that will meet your needs. I'm sure Walmart has what you are looking for at a price that meets your expectations.

I don't understand the negative rating of this and all the hate on here for a product that's at a good price for what it is.

Sure Massdrop has had it a little cheaper before a little less then 4 months ago but Massdrop has also been the only place to have it that cheap. Everywhere else its usually $399 sometimes $350, I happen to get mine at Best Buy about a month ago when they had a good deal on it randomly at $250 and even that's more then this deal now.

So I wouldn't say this is a bad deal at all because of the 30$ difference from 4 months ago, if you can wait how ever many months till it might go on sale again at that price then all the power to you.

Also as someone mentioned the review are good all around everywhere, like with every product you'll have some negative reviews and it looks like on Massdrop if you go to the "Discussion" area you'll see some people there complaining about some things and reps of Massdrop saying a couple months ago they did have some QC issues that have been addressed and there are multiple reps on there active now willing to help anyone that runs into any kind of problems...

Maybe this is why I've never posted any deals on here before being a member for so long now... people rating products and threads for all the wrong reasons. People over here giving down votes because they don't understand paying this much for a desk or that they can get something similar for 100$ at Walmart; honestly no one really cares, it's one thing to express that knowledge for those who are looking for something similar to a product but most people are going to be here because they are already looking specifically for the best deal on THIS product. I thought the whole point of this site was finding the best deals on individual products, not the best deal on the category of a product.

Some of you here the type of people that see a deal about some expensive brand name purse that's like around the lowest its ever been but since its a $6000 purse now at $3000 you give it a down vote because you feel like why; when you can get a purse for like $30 that looks just like it.
