These seem great for the price! i'm going on my first camping trip with some friends at the end of the month. Would this be better than a flashlight ?

These look decent for the price. Checked Fakespot and it has an A surprisingly.

Looks like this is a generic light that is sold by many sellers, there's a better deal here.. 4 pack for $12.

https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B071W3HFT4.

- Exact same lights based on the pictures and description
- Comes out to $3 each
- More reviews
- Also has an A on Fakespot

These would be good to have, so that you can leave them out on the table at night, or in the tent, but I think you'd still want to get a flashlight.

Bright enough but the glare is really harsh. Needs a diffuser. Some suggested using a gallon milk/water jug. I used the wrap the lantern came with. I have the Etekcity branded version. Solid build, otherwise.

Costco recently had a Cascade Mountains set with a more "frosted" globe and 4-way light (high, low, red, red strobe) on sale.

For reference

I prefer the simpler switchless high/low design, though.

Look for cob lanterns like this

Have bought perhaps nigh unto 15 or 20 or so of these via eBay over last couple years, paying somewhere around $4.50 or so. At 3-4 bucks each, they're a steal. Repped.

Paid advertising maybe.

SD has become an Amazon sales billboard....every two minutes someone posts and amazon "deal" with coupon codes
