I was looking for an edger attachment for my Greenworks 16-Inch PRO 80V Cordless String Trimmer (Attachment Capable), GST80320 80v Greenworks and found SJstangman's post:

On sale for $44.99. They usually go for around $65 as a regular price at Walmart and Amazon.
  • The edger attachment ended up being 34.49 because of some $10 "FREECASH" I used.
  • The pole saw attachment order that I placed thanks to post from user "junkbutton" pointing out the availability of $20 FREECASH ended up being $52.49 (I only had $15 FREECASH available towards that for some reason).
  • Perhaps someone else more versed in SYWR can make sense this "FREECASH" for us and make it not seem so random.
  • If it shows OOS for shipping, check later. I placed an order for instore pickup on the pole saw because it was OOS for shipping, then literally 2 minutes later it was available again for shipping.
  • Don't let the word "gas" in the item names fool you-- I've heard these are compatible with some electric trimmer attachment-capable models.
  • I bought mine a few days ago and should be receiving it soon, so I can report back with how well it works (and whether or not it actually fits!)
If you purchase something through a post on our site, Slickdeals may get a small share of the sale.

My older Craftsman edger attachment works with my Greenworks 80V. I am also using the pole saw that I had for my gas powered Craftsman with my Greenworks. They both work great with no problem with power.

Thanks for posting this. I didn't need the edger, but I've been holding out for a deal on the pole saw attachment. It too is on sale, and with $20 in free cash, I got it for $50 all in which is well over half off.

I can verify the Kobalt 80v has the standard universal connection. I have it, along with an edger identical to this one, just with different branding. So it should work.

The only downside is that the Kobalt Trimmer has a safety stop on the motor. So if you cut too deep too quickly, causing too much resistance, the trimmer will stop itself, even though it has the power to push through.

It doesn't cause any damage, it's just annoying. But once you get the hang of it, it works pretty well. Just know this will feel under powered compared to a more expensive gas stand alone edger. But it'll still get the job done in a reasonable amount of time; especially for the price.

Sweet deal on the polesaw attachment with $20 freecash. Been avoiding using the old electric one since dealing with the extension cord is such a PITA. Thanks!
