I've read good reviews on this unit.
Anyone has first hand experience with it?

I have it, it's a quality unit and rikon is great on ordering parts, etc btw. I had a smaller 9" iirc craftsman, the table mount was pretty flimsy, had a ryobi 9" as well at once time (about as basic and weak as they come) tables on both those sucked. This is small band saw, out of the small ones i've had hands down this is my favorite and you can tell a step up from those by a large margin, best of the 9&10". i've resawn mostly small maple with it, used for cutting aluminum, plexi, small bandsaw stuff, great small project saw...though i've seen some crazy youtube videos resawing oak with a aggressive blade (seems crazy to me, maybe it does it's a small motor). But runs smooth, well balanced, adjustments are easy, guide bearing adjustments are very simple (my favorite feature) feels very solid and like the steel frame. table is solid and locks really well, no wobble really.

Couple things thou, this unit has a smaller non standard miter slot size than larger ones, which will mean you use the little plastic cheap miters or diy, no incra's ,etc but those seem overkill for this small saw. The fence locks well but it's pretty basic with enough pressure mine tilts out of square but i haven't looked at it much to see if something can be done about it, i normally clamp some stock on anyways for my fence.

I have the larger BAS350 craftsman also (with the buyout looks like they stopped making those), i can confirm the craftsmans and rikons are very similiar, but not exact, rikon does a few things different to them but they're very close. i broke the trunion on my larger craftsman, ordered it from rikon for the similiar unit and it was identical.
