This is a manual varifocus lens camera
You will need to set the zoom during install.

Daytime sample video from a similar HIkvision OEM model ( should produce the same video results )

When I noticed the price, I was challenged about whether or not to post this as they are 720P cameras.

Since I know they are quality Hikvision OEM products and you can adjust the FOV / zoom ( update: manually set during the installation of the cameras ) making them significantly more useful compared to the typical 720P cameras .. thought these maybe useful for some on a tight budget here.

Note: the spec sheet on the product page is for the 1080P version of this camera.

The spec sheet says they are PoE 802.3af. Looks like a pretty good deal to me. Thanks!

HI Paaji

I didn't see any links from the LaView page for demo videos.

Note - I expect it to actually be better than the 1080P cloud cameras when they are set to lower and mid-quality video streams. Depending on the cloud camera and the compression use - this may actually even perform as well or even better than some 1080P cloud cameras on higher quality settings.

Hi Teal,

Depends on where you mount it.

Typically if you have enough room in the ceiling / wall to stuff the connections you will not need a junction box. You will need about 3/4-1" hole.

Check out the cliff notes at ipcamtalk - there's a document for PoE switches.
( you can also try google search on ipcamtalk switch list )

Also with Amazon Prime day coming I would expect some PoE switch deals that day.
