This is how to buy this phone and transfer the minutes/data/extra year over to your old phone or the phone of your choice:
You buy this LG Rebel 3 phone with it's included 1 year/1500.
IMPORTANT* Before doing anything with the new LG Rebel, confirm with a Tracfone rep via online chat help how many minutes of service you have on your old phone and your service end date. Screenshot this as proof in case things go wrong. You can also have the chat transcript emailed to you, but I've had instances where those emails never arrived. SCREENSHOT THE CHAT.
Then you transfer your existing Tracfone number/phone over to the LG Rebel 3. Which will add the 1500 minutes and also add another year of Tracfone service to the minutes/time you already had on your old phone. *This is personal preference, but I'd keep service on the LG Rebel for a few days just so there's no confusion, before proceeding to the next step*
Once again do the online chat confirmation of your new minutes/end date on the LG Rebel to keep as proof. SCREENSHOT
Transfer your Tracfone number service back to your old phone. You now have the added 1500 minutes/1 year on your old phone.
You sell the LG Rebel 3 or keep it around as an extra/backup.

Great deal even if it was just for the yearly plan. With a phone too is a super deal. I am considering buying this just for the plan and selling the phone even though I already have 3 more years.

It wasn't totally clear from the post so I edited it. 1500 minutes, 1500 texts and 1500MB data + 1 year of service

Not familiar with the plan, are you saying that we can buy the plan and add it to an existing plan to double, triple the plan duration? e.g can I buy two plans and get two years of service on a given phone? Thanks...

There is a specific procedure to follow to stack. Hopefully someone will post. I am checking it now

Nice price for this! Looks like maybe this takes the place of the LG Treasure with similar specs? I've had 2 of those Treasures in the past 2 years and they keep crapping out on me. Second one is in its final death throws now, just ordered a new Samsung to take its place a couple days ago. No issues for me what so ever with the Tracfone service overall though. Actually they were great about replacing the first Treasure I had when it died on me for free.

Im not sure you can just add it to your plan without activating the phone, but when I bought a few of these this year I bought the phone, added the plan, then switched it to the actual phone I was going to keep. Did this 3 times and sold all the phones. Barely paid anything for the service after selling the phones which makes this an even better deal.

Fantastic price for this deal with a 2gb ram 16gb storage phone. I just wish it was 5.5" instead of 5"

Upgrade to the Fiesta 2 deal at $79, bigger better screen & much bigger battery. I had issues with Rebel 3, had to return several before getting the Fiesta 2. Rebel 3 didn't want to activate & signal was terrible, others had same problems - there's a reason it's been on sale for months. Fiesta 2 is worth the difference.

I got this phone earlier in the year as a temporary phone to snag the 1500 before switching off.

One thing they hide in all of the spec pages on HSN is that the screen resolution is 480 x 854 and it looks like absolute trash. Everything is blurry and for some reason the screen constantly doesn't register touch input in the correct place. For example, on a page with a bunch of links (like slickdeals) you will click on a deal but the screen will register the touch a half inch either way and you'll open up the wrong thread.

I went from a Galaxy Sky to this, so I figured going from 1.5gb of RAM to 2gb would be a good increase but honestly everything was horribly slow on this compared to browsing on the Sky. This is mostly due to the much weaker processor in the Rebel 3. It chugs even on single pages. Tried Chrome, Firefox, Opera, with ad-block, etc. Page-loads were always terrible.

I just switched off to a newer phone last month and it was a godsend. If I was actually buying this phone to use (and not just for the minutes and service time) I definitely would not do it. I know the price is good but the entire experience was frustrating. I would just pay more money not to put up with it.

I've got the Fiesta 2, and I totally agree with this. Much better phone in every way. However, if you're just looking for the minutes or don't care about the phone for some reason, this is a decent price for a year of service.
