  • DropMix is a music mixing game where every card you drop activates a track, and every track blends seamlessly with others to create incredible sounding mixes. Every play you make amps up the mix to new levels.
  • Includes the DropMix board and 60 DropMix cards from top artists like Disturbed, Imagine Dragons and more.

I'm not sure if this is simply part of their July 4th sale, so it may end at the end of today, but I just picked up the DropMix base set for $29.99 (plus tax) at Best Buy in store.

For those who haven't heard of DropMix, it's essentially a card/party game from Hasbro/Harmonix where you hook a base station up via Bluetooth to your phone or tablet which acts as a display. You then use DropMix cards, which are color coded parts of popular songs, to freely build mixes (freestyle) or play one of two games (party / duel).

From what I can tell, this was running for $40-50 at most stores just a week ago.

Sorry if I didn't include everything I needed to. This is my first post.

This isn't a fishing game. You can drop the beat on this one.

Packs are not random, so as long as you know that you're not buying the same pack more than once, you won't have any duplicate cards.

FYI: cards will never be random. each pack contains specific cards. you NEED each pack to complete the list....... Im a sucker for sets and went all in when I first found this game at the $80 price. Since then I have bought everything possible, INCLUDING the promo transformers,gi joe cards on ebay.

This game is ridiculously addictive and is best to stream to a external source that can reproduce bass. Also a tablet running 6.0 is needed and works much better than a tiny phone screen.
If you have this game, I created a very basic info sheet for my elementary school kids that get to use these.

"In general…
You want to start with a RED, followed by another RED or BLUE. Then GREEN followed by a YELLOW of your choice.
Always remember that you can change out a color/ song if you do not like how it sounds.
Also remember you can control the song speed (BPM) (try making a song really fast or slow and see what kind of faces everyone makes)
And finally… do your best to remember the songs you like (these will be your HITS when you are ready for the stage!!)
Create a RED & BLUE, then add YELLOW
Create a RED & BLUE beat for 2 minutes, then add GREEN for 1 minute followed by a different YELLOW every 3 minutes. (keep time!) (save)
Create a BLUE & BLUE beat. Mix a YELLOW every 5 minutes. (try to add WHITE for bonus mixes!)
Start with as many colors from 1 song, then change 1-2 colors (not YELLOW), every minute.
Start with a steady or slow BLUE then mix in a YELLOW. Add another BLUE then change the YELLOW. (repeat for fun)
Start with a YELLOW and in 1 minute add WHITES
READY? Start with a BLUE, add another BLUE in 30 seconds, then add another BLUE in 30 more seconds. Start slowly changing all cards into WHITE. Add a YELLOW. Slowly start removing each WHITE. Add a RED & GREEN.?

Also theirs a few reddit pages out that discuss that the new sets coming out will contain Orgy - Blue Monday. I CANNOT wait for that song because that intro beat is perfect to start with.... just like the intro to Outkast - Ms Jackson.!! Also the vocals to Len - Steal my Sunshine works really well with a lot of the songs.

Just go on youtube and check out other peoples mixes.! Also my 5 yr old picked this game up really fast. so its kid friendly.

LASTLY!!! buy penny sleeves to protect the cards!! 5 pages and no ones mentioned that. These cards can get some wear depending how you play. protect your investment.

Unavailable where I live, woooo!

This is a neat party game where you play multiple cards together to mix songs. The same people that made Rock Band made this game. MSRP is $100, so this is a great deal. Its the cheapest I've ever seen it.

Nice tip on the card packs. Didn't know they existed.

What are the odds of getting duplicate packs/cards if I buy three or so packs?

This looks like fun. Grabbed one.

Does anyone understand the different expansion cards? I need to read up on them to determine what to buy without overlapping cards.
