I was looking at Samsung.com for a new S9+ and saw that they had a nice trade in promotion going. This is for Verizon, they are giving an additional $200 off plus trade. Now before you all hammer the deal based on the S8 trade in program, let me say it was a bit of a pain dealing direct with Sammy for my S8 last August but in the end I got a good deal on a new unlocked S8. I chose to go with a Verizon S9+ and trade my S8, order is submitted and processing. The Verizon S9 is $200 off plus I'll get an additional $300 for my S8 unlocked. My total was $339.99 and I got a free 64gb card. Verizon requires the 24 month agreement but it can be paid off after 30 days. It also allows you to prepay at checkout. I paid an extra $75 on mine but you could in theory pay most of it and finance $25 if you wanted. I am hopeful that the trade in of my S8 goes smoothly and Samsung fixed their issues with the promotion. Essentially they are "giving" me more on trade for the S8 than I paid last August.
