I'd worry more about your plastic straws, food containers (thrown out by most recycling center), or the fact that China changed regulations and aren't accepting our recyclables nearly as much any more so who knows where disreputable businesses are dumping it.

Get some of these and make a child laugh. Make yourself laugh. And, if after that, you're still that cynical...

DO SOMETHING ABOUT IT.

Disclaimer: I love making my son laugh. I'm acutely aware of things like what kind of work I'm leaving him. So I volunteer 100-200 hours per year and have every year for the last 17 years, give regularly to charities with high pass-through rates, and donate lots (thank you SD for helping make that affordable).
Be the change you want to see in the world.
Stop waiting for someone else to change things.

250 balls... that's the last thing my house needs

For reference purposes,I bought 1500 balls (these exact ones) to fill a 62.5x62.5x19.5 pool. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B000VSA...pBbC6V143B

doesn't fill to top, but when a 2 year old jumps in, balls overflow nicely.

I'm gonna say that bag is about 9x6x4 balls, so a fraction under 16cu ft... Say 15 to be a little more conservative. Fill that tub.

I bought 1000 balls last time it was discounted and it fills the plastic North states super yard just fine for a toddler.
