Where do they deliver, if your link is asking the zip only?

Assuming that you enter a New York City zip code, the NEXT page asks you for a full address. There's no reason for there to be any thumbs-down for this freebie, it appears to be 100% legit!

Please note that giveaways will only be mailed to residents of New York City while supplies last.

Thumbs down: New York City is not "New York". You're excluding about 11,500,000 people with that title.

That is NOT a valid reason for giving a thumbs down. This is a perfectly good freebie, better than most, and lots of people who would qualify for it aren't going to get it because they're not seeing the multiple thumbs-up an offer like this would normally have, and will assume that it's not a genuine offer.

We want to ENCOURAGE people to post freebies, not DISCOURAGE them. We should respond to someone who takes time out of their busy life to post a freebie for us graciously and gratefully, not giving a thumbs down AND a negative post because the title wasn't worded to our satisfaction.

I am truly tired of this OP's freebies being treated like they're not good enough to be on this forum somehow. She has expended a lot of effort over a period of years providing lots of good freebies, although I don't know why given the way she gets treated every single time. Maybe the reason we have far fewer freebies than we used to here is because other people weren't as willing to continue to be generous in the face of rejection? Just a thought.

THIS a thousand times over. I hesitate to post on Slickdeals in general out of fear of having my head ripped off for what may seem like a stupid question. We should be here to help each other. JMO.

Well I think that, when someone thumbs down, and says because you have new york and not new york city. I think thats not rude but direct. I also came to this because I thought it was a state thing. I think someones life is truly blessed to think other opinions are scary if they are not yours.(the fact someone else thinks something is worth thumb down and telling you why and you disagree) There was no name calling, or telling OP that what they put was bad, just it isn't clear.

Thank you to both the OP

and thanks to though who thought it was confusing and shared why.
