Jumped on this instantly -- had an order for the same thing @ Dell.com for a shipped price of $1082 after tax, luckily it wasn't processed or shipped out yet.

Just got my order with newegg in, after the 50 dollar coupon, and 2% ebate cashback, and 1% discover cashback, no taxes in TX I'll have this puppy for $920 at my door.

Very very happy since I've been eyeballing this for months waiting for a deal.

I dont know what the big hubbub is with this price. I got the same deal from dell about 6 months ago for like just over $800 for brand new after factoring e b a t e s 15% cb and dell financing 6% rewards

Can we currently get 15% cashback and 6% rewards? No. So this is currently the best price.

If you want to be a salty sally about it then yes youre correct you cant get my quoted price. But just wanted to point out that this isnt the best price possible and far from it

the 6% dell rewards is moot for a large majority of people... that's not cashback, that's just money that ropes you into spending more at a future date on the dell store, if I can't get actual cashback rewards, what's the point of even calling that a real price quote?

Combined that with the fact it's financing rewards... I'm not going to sign up for a whole new line of credit to save a lousy 6% on one small purchase.

His attitude isn't salty... it's an economic reality. It's the best price by far out there currently. What you paid 6 months ago, and what someone will pay 6 months from now doesn't matter if you want to get the monitor today.

Unless you have a crystal ball and can tell us with a guarantee that 15% CB on Ebate will magically pop up before the 11th, this is a more than solid deal right now. I pulled the trigger at $1082 out the door on Dell, since it's worth it to me. Cancelling that and going this route for $920 is a no brainier.

Assuming this uses the same panel as the X34 and PG348Q that are plagued with back light bleed?

It uses a newer panel but blb and ips glow is a part of the IPS lottery.

Is there a big difference between this and the LG 34UC88? LG seems cheaper at $540 at microcenter. Is this monitor worth the ~$400 difference?

Alienware: Faster refresh rate/response time/Gsync

Intended for gaming, compliments a top tier gaming pc better than typical monitors.

No gsync, 75Hz vs 120.
