Atelier Lydie & Suelle: The Alchemists and the Mysterious Paintings (PS4) $29.99

+5 Deal Score
3,062 Views and Gamestop have Atelier Lydie & Suelle: The Alchemists and the Mysterious Paintings for Playstation 4 at $29.99 ($29.99):

Gamestop ($29.99):

Best Buy still has it for $59.99, usually the Atelier games go on clearance for $24.99 to $29.99 before they stop selling them in stores so it might be a hint that they will move on to the next Atelier game and stop selling this one soon.

The next Atelier game is "Nelke and the Legendary Alchemists" which is a spinoff featuring all the main characters from the past 19 games. It's supposed to be a town building game.

Atelier game stories are in trilogies. This is the third entry in the Mysterious trilogy of Sophie, Firis, and Lydie & Suelle. It is the only trilogy playable on PS4. Each story focuses on a young girl learning alchemy. Sophie wanted to get better after her grandmother died, Firis is allowed to leave her secluded town only if she can become an alchemist, Lydie and Suelle are aiming to be the top alchemy shop in the kingdom after promising their mother they would become the best before she passed away. The stories are told from the viewpoint of the titular character so while any returning characters might reference events occurring after the previous game, it won't be out of place for newcomers.

Gust (a division of Koei Tecmo) decided to publish this game on their own and skipped the dubbing process so there is only a Japanese language voice option. There is also an $80 season pass containing 2 characters, 3 map expansions based on Gust properties, Swimsuit costumes, music, a few extra item recipes. The map DLC doesn't become available until the very end of the game, but the two characters ($10 each) do show up during the main game.
