When is best time for a stroller?

1,090 478 July 5, 2018 at 07:46 AM
We are expecting a newborn this Christmas. Wife has already asked me to look for a stroller deal. I am looking for a uppababy or nuna (or bugaboo if I could find a good deal). Did them usually have deals during black friday? Which stores should I stick with? Thanks a lot.

Here's a link to a blog about the best strollers so far.

Not sure if they usually go on sale during black friday but you might want to post your question again before black friday. Smilie

If you're looking at a uppababy or bugaboo let's be honest, you don't really need to find a good deal Wink

I don't know if strollers ever really have a sale period.I mean they aren't lawn equipment after all. People are popping kids out all year long!

Amazon used to have a deal where if you did a registry they would let you buy whatever was left and not bought at a 10% discount (IIRC). So something like that may be your best option. If you've got a Chase Ink card buy a ton of Amazon GCs at Staples to get an additional 5% (or more) back, that's what I did Big Grin

Should add, we got a Bob. I know it may not have the whole I'm an elite Manhattan socialite mystique with it but they're hands down solid, well built, and comfy strollers at a very reasonable price and you can sell them when you're done for a surprising amount of what you paid for them!

We would recommend you pick up an inexpensive umbrella stroller in addition to your main stroller. We received several for "free" at Toys R US because of varying promotions. Over the years these strollers became our main stroller because we wanted something easy to get out of the vehicle, lightweight, small, could fold up and be carried, and so forth. We have done WDW, trails, malls, national parks, and supermarkets with Peg Peregos, Double Bob's, Graco's and umbrella strollers. The umbrella strollers were the easiest.

Best of luck on your new baby!
