I am so confused, each date has a set price per person. If I enter in 2 adults and 2 kids, and it states say 299 per person, when I go to check out it's nearly double the price. This is not including the taxes and fees.

For example, I picked a 5 night cruise, balcony room which is stating 389 per person. On the checkout page it has it listed as almost 900 for each adult, plus the fees. The kids are showing much less, and then there is a credit there for those two prices.

Edit-> I see what they are doing, they are basically baiting and switching you with the price. The price is after the free kids price, but the per person takes into account all of the people in the room assuming 2 adults 2 children.

If only these cruises would take off from Colorado I'd be in a lot better shape to take them.

How does this work for my family (we've never been on a cruise)

Dad & Mom
14 yr old
3 kids (under 5)

Living in Delaware

Is there a deal to be had, I have not a clue what the going rate is vs. a good deal.

Wow these work out to some low prices. Norwegian always runs promotions offering a "free 3rd and 4th guest" but pricing is never this cheap. I don't know much about Royal Caribbean though. Do they ever offer promotions on dining or drink packages also?

Avoid cruises in the summer since many people let the little hellions run amok.

I know you're joking, but we did a NCL cruise in a 5 person room with 3 toddlers and survived/enjoyed it. Our rule was to only go in the room when you're sleeping or similar. There are plenty of non-claustrophobic places on a cruise ship you can make your "room".
