It's hard to determine which of the 10-30 dollar speakers are decent. My personal advice is get a refurbished anker premium speaker or a refurbished sony xb20. Those are really good sounding speakers below $50.

100% agree. i have 2 anker premiums that i paid $21 each for refurbed direct from anker, a couple anker soundcore minis that I paid $18 each new for from amazon, and a blue sony xb2 that i paid $35 new from bestbuy about a year ago. all of these have been so far so good, no issues to speak of with any of them and way better sound that the dozens of cheapo under $30 bt speakers i have tried over the last couple of years.

I have a Sharkk Boombox speaker and I really like it, they've been around for a few years now. I'd rather get a Sharkk 20W speaker for $20 than an Anker 10W-12W speaker that costs more.

Another vouch for the Sharkk Boombox. I would expect this speaker to perform quite well based on experience with their previous model.

I like the anker's and the sony xb2's. Neither seem to be available at the moment. For $20 these seems to be the best deal at this time.

the specs on this speaker look good, but i wouldn't buy this sharkk based on the reviews for this speaker. there are only 64 reviews on amazon which is ridiculously low for a model that has been for sale on amazon since September 2016, and only a 4.1 rating. only a handful of reviews in 2018, so obviously a much older model sharkk is clearing out. most concerning is that a majority of the bad reviews complain about battery life, pairing failing, or recharge time. i have none of those problems with any of my anker speakers and i trust anker's customer service well beyond the warranty period. think this is a hit or miss deal at best. i would hold out for a sale on a good anker.

20 W might start hitting the sweet spot in a car. 100 W is generally what you want for a home theater speaker. The comments are sort of suspicious in bringing up the Sony.
