Nobody. Not to threadcrap but the command has been in the low 50s before on Amazon.

Amazon appears to be matching an ebags deal of the day: https://www.ebags.com/product/tim...d=10533290

Got the classic messenger bag last month and found out that it didn't have the padding for a laptop. So then decided to go with this one a week ago after looking at the video (level of padding and availability of multiple pockets - I recommend looking at the video on Amazon). Got the nautical one for around $70 at the time. It is pretty nice - I have had Samsonite, Kensongton, SwissGear messenger bags before and all of them were less than $50. Timbuk2 is the best out of all of them in terms of quality and the availability of different compartments. What was missing (compared to an old Kensington bag) is a pocket to keep the bulky dell laptop chargers. However, I can find a spot for it. I think for $7X it is worth it. Not a banging deal, but good if it fits your needs.

I'm not sure what you are talking about but you are probably used to that. If Amazon has something on sale, it's usually a price match from somewhere else...somewhere you might be able to get the product for cheaper (with coupons) or through a cash back portal. You're welcome.

I'm looking for a bag you can carry by hand, not by shoulder. Is this one comfortable to be carried by hand? Is the hand holding part durable?

I've been around the the spectrum with laptop bags. I've had 3 Saddlebacks - ended up just being too heavy. This Command is just about perfect.Has lots of places to store things.

For frequent business travelers - they just "plain" got this right.

Buy size based on body size and laptop size. I got the Large but keep in mind - it's on the gigantic side. Medium would be the play for most people and small for people with small laptops.

Unlike the Saddleback (which I love) - it's light and very quick to open.

The only thing I don't like about this - why did they exclude the red key lanyard?! That's the most important part of a Timbuk2!

And yes it's 111 degrees outside so I'm bored as sin and not lurking :-)

Good bag. Sturdy handle. Minimal protection for laptops. Does not stand on its own.

You can also buy this direct from timbuk2 with free shipping at 74.00 with more sizes and colors. I prefer a small to medium. the medium is just too large for me as a commuter bag. https://www.timbuk2.com/products/...r-bag-sale

I think i got the large one for about the same price a few months ago. The padding is ok in the designated laptop pocket. but the main compartment has very minimal padding. Like someone else mentioned, it doesn't stand on it's own. The grab handle is pretty good, if that was what you were concerned about. Great looking bag though.
