I used a deal that was listed on here for a 12 month Microsoft gold membership for $41.64 from nokeys.com about a week or two ago. Thought it was a good deal so went to snag it. Purchased it with no problems, got emails confirming this and proper code to be used. I entered the code in and my membership was extended. Two days ago my account was and is suspended for 2 weeks for fraudulent activity and theft. I guess the code and crap given to me was stolen. So now I'm having to fight with the enforcement team trying to prove I'm not a thief and I don't think they give a shit. So now I'm screwed because of that shit site. You need to ban any sales or deals from that site on here. This is ridiculous and has me extremely furious. I did nothing wrong here and now I'm being screwed.

sounds like your own fault. reasons why you don't buy keys from 3rd party sites. if it isn't a big retailer or etailer, it's a risk you take.

Who moderates or runs this site? Why would they let things be posted that could be possible fraud? Sounds like the site needs to pay more attention as to what is allowed to be posted.

Hi blakestuhh.

First let me say thank you for bringing this up and I'm sorry you've had such negative experience with a deal you found on our site. Obviously, we hope that each and every transaction that results from members of the community finding deals on Slickdeals to go smoothly but unfortunately, that is not the case. No merchant is perfect, whether it's a smaller seller/site or a household name, and some are less perfect than others. Ultimately, transactions are between the user and the merchant as is stated in our Terms of Service but we do try to remove deals posted that are obvious scams as quickly as possible. We also do our best to address issues such as this when they arise but those of us tasked with moderating the forums and/or responding to community concerns are few in number in comparison to the volume of deals and comments posted each day. In the future, if you encounter or observe an issue on the site that you feel should be brought to our attention, we have a Site Questions, Issues, and Suggestions forum that our staff reviews on a regular basis.

In looking back on recent deals like the one you are referencing and for the particular merchant in question, the majority of feedback has been positive. Even when taking into consideration deals such as this from similar sites, issues like what you're reporting appear to be relatively rare. I have even seen one case where it appeared as if Microsoft acknowledged that a ban/suspension was not justified. Looking at this bigger picture, there is simply not enough reason to deem the site in question as a scam site to the point of disallowing users from posting it. That said, your experience has been shared among our teams to be mindful of when considering deals like this in the future.

It could be beneficial if you provide an update to your situation once it is ultimately resolved so that we and the rest of the community can be made more aware of any and all risks associated with such deals, and we hope that any such resolution is ultimately reasonable for you.

Thanks again for taking the time to share your experience.

Sounds like mods should be copying and pasting a disclaimer in the wiki or original post of any threads from that place. Most people should already know they are gray market sites but it's always good to make it clear for those who aren't aware.

Achievements are not for the meek, it is better to forfeit inheritance of the earth so that the mighty may look upon my gamerscore, and despair. Achievements are for men who dream; men who dare; men who achieve! Men who carve out entire galaxies with nothing more than nimble cheetos-dusted fingers and their wits, and in our leisurely twilight days we shall sit by softly flickering fires with our descendants recounting the tales of these unimaginable glories.

With all of the stink and neg feedback, I doubt nokeys deals will ever come up on SD again.
