Razor MX650 Dirt Bike - Google Express - $305 + tax

$305.00

Hayneedle via Google Express has the Razor MX650 on sale for $305 + tax ($100 max discount with code EXTRA25).

This is a highly rated electric bike that is rarely on sales below $350.

if you know your way around RC stuff you can upgrade the motor to the 1800 watts brushless motor which can be found on ebay.

YouTube has several videos showing how to modify this bike. Regardless, this is a great starter bike out the box for your kids.

My son and I found an older model at a garage sale for $30. What a fun bike for a 6 year old.

I had the one below this model for my son. I think it was the 450 model. Great bike and lots of fun. I'm 220 pounds and I was able to ride it. If I could ride the 450, this 650 should be more than capable of adult riding.

Max speed of 17mph with 10 miles on single charge so make your own judgement if you want to take it out on freeways or not.

Here's the link that some guy mod the bike by putting in a brushless motor with lithium battery. It can go way faster, longer and carry more load.

Good for camping, trail fun, neighborhood riding but as far as highway get a 250cc Kawasaki.

This is the big kid/adult version. Has both front and back shock absorbers. Capable of carrying 220 lbs full grown adults.

Got the SX500 last year and was only able to recharge it like three times before something broke and it won't charge.
Replaced the charger.
Replaced the control panel.
Replaced the batteries.

Now I have six batteries that swap by I pullinng and charge externally with a standard 12v charger. Huge pain in the butt.

Razor tech support is useless and there was only a 90 warranty to begin with.

The carry weight limit is great, but personally think the dimensions are on the smaller side. You'll be hunched over if you're over 5'5

The question was whether it's legal or not. To which the answer is a resounding "no."
