I've been looking at fridges for the better part of 2 years now and I am still no closer to feeling confident about which brand or model to buy. Anyone have any good tips for evaluating refrigerators?

This one has good reviews across Best Buy, AJ Madison, Lowe's, and Home Depot, Buy quite a few negative ones on Amazon. I know people generally leave more reviews complaining than praising, so that doesn't help. This is the one purchase I don't want to screw up though so I'm eager to hear any thoughts on this particular model or tips in general!

I bought this LG model except with the door in door, see through knock feature. Bought from Costco for a lot more than this. Happy with the purchase since I need the silver stainless steel (which isn't on sale) to match my kitchen and I love the door in door.
I read a ton of reviews prior to this purchase and everything said LG is very reliable. I also like how all the shelves and drawers are spaced and laid out in this LG versus the other brands I looked at.

Google search will bring back plenty of coupons to use online.

save10percent dot net is where I get mine, works great. remember that you can take Lowe's 10% coupons to Home Depot and they will accept them (even if the coupon was used at Lowe's already).

You can't just universally pick a brand as they all have their duds. I wanted OPs style of 4 door fridge with the fridge drawer, but I couldn't find one that didn't have sporadic issues with the ice maker or something else. I ultimately decided on this one due to the sheer amount of reviews with positive ratings: https://www.lowes.com/pd/Whirlpoo...R/50161485

We've had this exact model for several years (refrigerator space on top with 2 french doors, 2 slide out compartments below, counter depth, black stainless finish). Very spacious, features are numerous and well designed, and we've had no problems of any kind. The price offered by Lowe's is excellent.

Seriously, they need to just buy one and get an extended warranty.

I see a price of $2,499 without the 10% coupon. How did you get it under $2,000 before the coupon or is it only in your local area? Thanks!

I'm considering buying the 5-year Major Appliance Extended Protection Plan on this through Lowe's. Lots of negative reviews on Consumer Reports about parts failing after a year. Is there a third party protection plan that would be better?
