Great to have a place again to discuss multiple stores' deals and the highs and lows of shopping.
The summer of our discount deals may prove ever so helpful as stores close, redo, and confuse us.
Happy shopping to all!

Plenti points expire Tuesday, July 10th. Don't forget to use them at RA or Exxon before they expire!

Also, Cow Appreciation Day is Tuesday as well. Free entree with any cow attire, accessory, etc....

I live in Cowafornia. Does that count? And what's the entree? Would it be a steak? That seems cruel...

I'm not sure what I did in the last post. I didn't mean to quote you 3 times and I changed my mind on the moo-sic comment but posted it by moo-steak.

I didnt even know you could quote someone multiple times? LOL

Our CFA are always super busy on normal days. Ive actually seen the line spiraled out for the drive through (where it goes more than one revolution around the building). I cant even imagine trying to go during a free event.

I went to a Jimmy Johns (similar to Subway but a little better) free event a couple of years ago and the line was forevers but it ended up not being that bad because they kept it moving and we all started talking so the time flew by. The promo itself didn't work that well on me because I've only been back a few times since. I'd love to find a sub shop with great food at reasonable prices but I only know of one place and it's not a chain. It's in a shopping center with a RA. For some reason it hasn't caught on with the locals. The place is always busy but it's always the same people. Italians and cops. Nothing at all wrong with that but with a place this good that's cheaper than Subway you would think that the line would be around the block. I can usually get in and out in 10 minutes which isn't bad for a local place. They also sell the sandwich rolls by themselves which is a big plus. Unfortunately, I don't go there that much myself because the RA isn't the greatest. It's ok to grab a Coke but not to do a big coupon order.

Did you lose your RA in the recent merger? Or your Kmart? I can't remember what's over on that side of the mountains.

Our RA in town has closed. The next closest one would be a 30 min+ drive at minimum, Not worth it. And my KM is closing. There is a rumor that the liquidation company is not allowing you to redeem SYW points so I haven't even bothered to go in. They mark everything up to the maximum price before they start reducing so it's not really worth it. I am going to attempt an online KM order either today or tomorrow as I have free shipping but if that doesn't go well I'll be limited to Sears mostly. The nearest KM is an hour away. I get about 3/4 of the way there a few times a year but as you know points expire more quickly than that.

lol, Sorry I should have specified that it's a Chick Fil A promotion. Facepalm If you have CFAs go! You can get breakfast, lunch, and dinner.

Free events are crazy, but CFA is very efficient. Years ago when the promotion started it was a free meal (entree, fries, drink) and the salads were included too. Now the freebie is just any sandwich, nuggets/strips, or wrap and kids can get any full kids meal; this makes the line move very quickly. You can also go through the drive-thru. I think location is a factor too. I went to a CFA in the mall last year and it wasn't very busy at all, but right across the street from the mall is a stand alone CFA and the parking lot was swamped. lol I think people forgot about the food-court or just assumed they weren't participating.

My 2 kmarts closed over a year ago, but I was able to use points during the liquidation sale, there were just no returns. I don't know if anything has changed since then, though.

I just used SYW points + FC at a closing store. You cannot use a Kmart coupon but you can still use FC (mine was loaded). Not sure if you can use a FC coupon ("coupon" but also "FC"??) but I do not get any coupons with a receipt any more at a closing store.

I have been doing CFA cow appreciation day for the last 10 (or even more) years. Yes, it was great before with a meal option with a full cow costume. I used to take all my kids and hit multiple stores. Since they are older now, they are not interested in waiting in line to get just one sandwich. I am going with my youngest daughter tomorrow but not sure if I will go more than one CFA. .
