This is a good price, which can also be found at Amazon, Crutchfield, and a couple other less known sellers today. Doesn't get much better, even on Black Friday.

For a budget buy I'd hold out for RF82II for $200-$220 when on sale.

Eh I wouldnt count on that deal unless you are willing to wait for a long time....possibly until BF...and iirc last time Frys had the RF 82iis on sale a lot of people had trouble receiving them.

How are they? I want to get RP-260f, but price on this is tempting. Anyone knows if RP-260f with high price make sense?

I landed a pair of RP280F + RP450C for $899 delivered last September from Adorama. It's doable to get a stupid good deal from time to time.

Yep, exactly. I know Fry's has these at around $200 multiple times a year. Got my pair plus the center as well from Fry's when they were on sale. If only that sub would ever go on sale.

Most of the people did not get 280F. If they receive then it is damage. I am surprise you got the good piece

Why would most people not receive them? My order showed up in about 5 days.

RP 280F insane deal isn't coming back. You might have luck getting then through local authorized dealers as they have deep discount with Klipsch

The next best imo 82 ii around 200 a piece

Awful speakers, I don't like Klipsch but if you're going to buy them at least buy the heritage series which is really what they're known for. All this newer Klipsch stuff is incredibly low end, the modern day equivalent of a rack system from the '80s. They throw Reference around now instead of Fisher's old favorite "Studio Standard", hilariously laughable since no studio would use that bottom barrel junk. Klipsch and Polk both battle it out in the low end segment.

If you're buying this stuff, just know much better can be had for not much more. ELAC, Wharfedale, Jamo, and Monitor Audio all have offerings for a bit more that are leagues better. And that's just sticking to new, the world of used has infinitely better options for less money and even better ones for the same money. Most people don't need floorstanders anyway unless you have a huge room or won't be using a subwoofer (both rarely true)
Isn't Jamo owned by Klipsch? I thought the Jamo's were the budget versions of Klipsch speakers. I don't know much about speakers, just see them when I am at Fry's looking at the prices

You are right, Jamo is owned by Klipsch, and is lower end with a different sound signature vs most Klipsch.
If you love Crisp beautiful highs, you can't get better than Klipsch on a great deal.

The R-26F is not in the same league as RF-280F. I have heard both (with the same tracks) I personally love and own the RF-280s paired with RP-450C, RP160M for sides and SVS sub - can't beat that setup for either movies or music (when you get it on a SD)
