Awesome, have been waiting for a deal on this as I've been looking for a driver and so I can have a second drill. Will use my old one for countersink duty.

Been on fence and was going to pull trigger on Milwaukee Fuel 12v set + bonus 6aH battery (and return then battery). But not really wanting to invest in another ecosystem.

5aH seals the deal for me. Needed extra juice for rotary hammer.

It was $15 in taxes for me (in Virginia), but this is seriously a great deal. It's also one of the first I've seen for any DeWalt kit with the 5Ah batteries, which I strongly prefer (and recommend). Thanks, OP!

Go look at Lowes. They are still having a Dewalt power tool sale, may be slightly different hard case vs bag difference and prices are sometimes cheaper.

Any other DeWalt deals that aren't so expensive? Don't need such large batteries for a DIY'er, if you can save $100.

I was just able to place an order...not sure this is dead. Granted, I opened the Google Express page before it was reported dead, not sure if that makes a difference.

Is this a better deal than last week's which has the DCD991 drill/driver (non-hammer) and 2.0 and 4.0 ah batteries instead for $200? I don't think I'll ever really need the hammer feature of the 996 but don't mind spending a few extra bucks for the option. My main concerns are with the 5.0 ah batteries (is it significantly heavier than the 2.0ah?) and if the 996 can perform as well as the 991 drill/driver for duties that don't require the hammer feature...

Just wondering if I get below from amazon, is it good for small home projects? https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B01FLA2H36/

Shall I spend extra for just in case?
