Can't recommend this. I've gone through three Deebots. They were well maintained (cleaned after every other run), but they constantly had issues. None lasted longer than 4-5 months.

First Deebot, the sensors stopped working after 3 months. Even after cleaning them multiple times, they never would work after failing for the first time.

Second Deebot, 4 months in, the side brush just stopped spinning. Brushes removed, everything cleaned, still beeped to the point it had to be replaced. Again.

Third Deebot, 4 months in, started spinning in circles for a few moments, then just stopped. Restarted, cleaned, followed all of the recommended troubleshooting steps from customer service - had to be replaced.

Sold the replacement I was sent on eBay. I'm tired of fooling with this thing.

I would be very wary of buying Ecovac products. I own the first model they ever sold and the follow up model. The first model was a solid product that curiously was replaced with a new model within 3 months of being available once it had received a decent number of 5 star reviews on amazon. I bought the second iteration and it has been trash. The sensors on it will go out in 3-6 months. I warrantied the first one after about 5 months and they sent me a new one. The new one also went out within 3 months.

This was their email denying my warranty claim. "The robot is indeed equipped with the anti-collision sensors inside the bumper which can detect obstacles and let the robot slow down to avoid collision. However, many factors can affect the anti-collision sensors signal emitting and receiving, such as lighting, color of furniture, especially dust or scratches on surface of bumper. That's why the robots not only have sensors but also have second-protection from bumper. If sensors fail to "see" obstacles somehow, bumper will hit obstacles and turn around. So bumper hitting obstacles is not a quality issue, it would be common after using the robot for a while."

So be warned, they basically said that the sensor is EXPECTED to stop functioning after "a while". After the sensors stop functioning, you will be left with a vacuum that hits everything at full speed and will only change direction after making contact with what's in front of it at, full speed. Be prepared to hear a loud bang every 20 seconds.

Interestingly, after they refused the warranty claim, I was also blocked on Amazon from leaving a review for the product. In my experience, very unscrupulous seller. My first one was a model M82, and the one with the serious quality fade issues is the N79s.

I bought this a month ago for 180. We run it at least once, but sometimes two-to-three times a day in a 1600 square foot home with 3 large dogs who shed. A lot. It does a phenomenal job. Honestly not sure what I'd do without it at this point.

Of the several vacuums I've owned over the years, I find this is also the easiest vacuum to clean. The compartment slides out for dumping, the filter pops out easily, and the main brush is removable. It's all very simple.

The compartment is quite small, requiring me to empty it after every run. But that's part of the form factor of a robot vacuum this size, and not at all atypical from my understanding.

The suction on this thing is great. We run it on the lower setting most of the time, which is effective on our hardwood floors and short carpets. For the mostly carpeted upstairs area, I sometimes put it on the higher setting -- this seems to be more efficient with carpet. I have read that it does not do well with longer carpets, however.

The battery life is pretty good, clocking around an hour and forty-five mins for each session.

The vacuum itself is very stealthy. Much quieter than competitors I've checked out. The high-suction setting is obviously a bit louder. But even then, it's relatively quiet. We have one dog who literally poops himself scared every time he hears a vacuum cleaner start, but he has no problem with this one.

This is not a 'mapping' robot vacuum -- and at this price point, you won't find one. What this means, essentially, is that the vacuum randomly moves in multiple directions, cycling through various modes. It operates more or less by law of probability. I was at first skeptical, but it manages to get everywhere it needs to go... eventually. Keep in mind, however, that if you have carpets, this will not result in clean-looking, uniform 'just vacuumed' lines.

When the battery depletes, the suction turns off and it starts scouting around at random looking for its charging dock. Once it is close in proximity to the dock, it picks up on an IR signal that directs it to the dock. It is fairly clumsy about bumping into things, but rarely has it gotten stuck. Only twice has it has been unable to find the dock. The edge sensor is flawless, always detecting stairs and drops.

Lastly, the replacement parts are pretty affordable and come on sale occasionally. They sell a pack of something like 3-4 filters, 4 side brushes, and a main brush for around 20-30 bucks. There are also offbrand versions available on Amazon. That said, I've had success cleaning and reusing the filters well beyond their suggested lifespan. The main brush is still in great shape. I've only had to replace the side brushes, which take quite a bit of abuse hitting furniture, walls, etc.

I was genuinely expecting at this price point to have to send this thing back after I discovered it to be garbage. But i was delightfully surprised with how well it works. I know I'm a sucker, but given how much we use it now, I even bought a squaretrade extended warranty for it. Hoping that if it has battery or mechanical issues down the line I'll have some coverage.

Feel free to let me know if you have any questions. i'm happy to answer

I just bought the N79 for $10 less. I can still return it and pay $11.25 in shipping if I went with this, which would effectively make this $21.25 more.I'm assuming it's still worth it?

I have this model and it's great. But you can check locally and people are selling it for almost half, I know I am. Great company and awesome customer service. So don't hesitate buying one. I have no need for mine after moving and renting a single room.

The research I did demonstrates that the Shark, Eufy and Deebot are all the same device with different designed tops. The only differences I could find are that the Shark has a sensor above the swivel wheel that may sometimes require maintenance. The Deebot comes with wifi. Otherwise, they seem to be the the exact same devices.

Goddamn...i literally just bought this last night for $200. Wake up this morning...boom! $30 bucks less. I called Amazon and got promo credit for the difference.
How did you get them to promo credit? Typically they won't do any adjustments at all they will actually make you ship it back or refuse delivery.
