That is pretty much the standard price. You can find it at Dell too. Note that the 2018 models of p series have lower list prices than 2017 models.

Seems they are all price matching each other, list price is at $800

But Dell is a good deal if you have gift cards

Dell has been selling at this price for a while already. The P55-E1 is on sale at Walmart at $699 for over a week and people have been discussing wether to spend $50 more for the 2018 P55-F1. So $750 is a pretty common price for it. Note that the F1 has a lot less local dimming zone than the E1 but with a tuner built-in.

This is true, 2017 has 126 local dimming zones vs 2018 has 56 - which is less than half

2018 does have a tv tuner and the screen type is VA, 2017 was IPS

The thing about the 2018 version is that it seems to be a lot brighter than previously. It does suck that they cut down on the dimming zones though.

This or TCL 6 series

Just bought R617 yesterday for $598 after tax. This is $750 after tax. Worth the extra $150?

This does suck, they are adding some features to the new models and taking away other features. I had a feeling that these companies to do that - and to think I was considering the 2018 P series, but after you pointing out that it has twice as less local dimming zones - no thank you.

The color and depth of 2018 vs 2017 is better, but I would suggest checking out the display at Best buy

And reviewed's review
