fyi:
JVC branded TV's sold in North America come from the Amtran Video Corporation in Compton, CA. They are not manufactured by JVC Kenwood.
Amtran's primary source for TV's is Suzhou Raken Technology of China.
Think Sceptre & other low-end brands.

It says 1080p in the title, so that leads me to believe you intentionally clicked on a deal you have no interest in to crap on it in the company of those that would be. Good job Clap

I get it but, cheapest 4K this size is roughly what, $40-50 more? Don't really need 4K in the basement so, very tempting

Cheapest 4k was far cheaper the other day. Buy from amazon on saturday, get 10% off the price from cut the cord day, then use the american express deal to get another 20% off. I ended up getting a 55 inch 4k TCL for 272. Added on a 3 year warrant which brought it to a total of 290.

I see your use for it. I'm just saying it's possible to get (slightly) smaller 4Ks at the same price, although not name brand.

Probably wouldn't matter that it's not 4K since it's only 48" (unless you like to sit really close to your TV). Seems silly that they make 40"-43" 4K TVs (except for use as a monitor).

If 4K isn't essential, is there a better TV in this size range for the price? Could be as small as 42.
