It's $60 at Walmart right now. Mildly slick at a $6 savings if you are really into this particular model headset.

I have a Razer Kraken Pro v2 it's pretty nice. I normally hate Razer products, but the headset is actually built pretty nicely out of metal and sounds pretty good for gaming. Thinking about picking up this 7.1 model, looks like the same thing as the Pro, but with 7.1 and colorful lights. Lol

Even better, get Sennheiser, Beyerdynamic, Hifiman, etc. Far Superior audiophile sound quality.

If the headset has no mic, you can buy a separate clip on mic, or mic on a stand.

Gimme a brake...
It's a GAMING headset.
Has nothing to do and never will with "audiophile sound quality"
It's all 'bout look and "all included" - sound quality more than enough for gaming, build-in mic and you can match it with your other Razer gear. Not a Razer fan at all, but my kiddo has their keyboard, mouse, pad and now headphone and it's all matched and looks shiny lol Please Applause

For $50+ it's a very nice piece of matched rig.

Are you actually arguing that sound effects and music in games/movies can't sound (much) better with a higher quality hifi headset?

With that said, I do agree if your budget is $50, this is a perfectly good, reasonable bundle for games and general use on the cheap.

I was trying to show you a different between headphones for games and "audiophile sound quality" headphones. But it seems pointless... Please

Tell me the difference.

Wait, I'll tell you the difference: There is none. Aside from the mic that you can buy separately, there's nothing separating a "gaming headset" and just any other regular pair of cans.

Btw, Sennheiser makes phones for the gaming crowd, which include an mic, and those sound 10x better than anything Razer can hope to produce.

Purpose, my friend. As simply as it is.
As an ex-gamer I will never use "audiophile sound quality" set for playing and chatting with fellow gamers. Simply 'cos any "audiophile sound quality" sets made for pleasure and any gamers sets for hard use and lifetime 'bout couple of years.
That is it.

Sure if you have enough fund to abuse "audiophile sound quality" $1k+ sets for gaming purpose well it's good for you. Happy that someone in SD community was able to save enough on other deals to be able to do it. But most of every day regular people will never do that. Please

Sure they do and no questions asked Senn quality is a way much better than Razer.
I am no Razer fan by any means, if we r talking 'bout rig gear then I am Logitech guy.
And headphones - was and still huge V600 fan. My 16yo pair just died on me recently and I couldn't find any good replacement for them. I've always kept a pair in both studious, editing room and home and was happy camper for years...
