i purchased one of these from amazon and micro center and they lasted a day or 2 before going into an infinite boot loop. For the price on paper they look great and they performed fantastic for the short time I had them, but they just didn't last. Their tech support on these were pretty bad as well and argued with me regarding the warranty on them (remember I just bought it). Anyway I ended up with an Asus router and couldn't be happier.

Bought this router from micro center and it lasted about 8 hours. Called netgear to troubleshoot and they literally told me to return this router and buy a different one. Apparently lots of hardware issues and as a result has been discontinued.

I've been using a Netgear R8000P for the past year and it's been the best router I've ever had. Been debating on getting this since I prefer the look of this one versus the spaceship looking R8000 but it's hard to replace something that has been flawless since I bought it. I think the entire Nighthawk line is very good and at this price, I would go for it if I didn't already have one..

Mine did the same thing. Customer service was horrible. Returned and got the tp-link deal from costco

Was waiting for a higher end netgear router like this to go on sale and finally got an uniquiti setup instead. I regret not doing so a long time ago. I Definitely recommend Ubiquiti if you have a little more than basic wizard router config skills.

I just bought the r7000. We had a non Nighthawk Netgear router before this. Our speed test has went from 40 mega to around 100-118 megs. Works great. Great signal strength too. The only issue I had was I bought it off eBay. The previous owner had factory reset it. I couldn't get logged onto the router through my laptop. Had to download the Genie app to my phone and update the firmware and then the laptop connected.
