I'm addicted to EGO and have been wanting a deal on one of their chain-saws. 25% off is the best I've seen so far, thanks to Google Express. If you apply EXTRA25, it comes to $225 plus tax, no shipping. I just ordered so I know it works.

I can't imagine how quick the battery runs out. I don't get 30 minutes from my blower. Put an extra load on the motor (cutting into the wood), even with a battery twice the size, and it couldn't last 20 minutes.
Just imagine...

Also note that this chainsaw has software in it to take advantage of their more powerful batteries, so that 7.5Ah battery that many of us got with the slickdeal $399 mower will work nicely with this.

But if you bought the lawnmower with 5A battery, and the string trimmer with 2.5A battery, and the hedge trimmer with 2.5A battery, and the blower with 2.5A battery, and have 5 chargers, all from slick deals, its no problem. heh.

I'll be up to four chargers myself. Seems silly but makes no sense not to get the batteries in these deals. Hopefully they last.

Don't really "need" this at the moment as i have 2 other chainsaws that work fine but have been waiting for a good deal on it to justify getting it for a while. Anyone have thoughts if this price is good enough to buy without needing it. Expecting second child any day now and my wife will be pissed if i buy for "toys" but if the deal is good enough I am ok with it.

Thoughts on this chainsaw in general? I have an ego trimmer and blower and just one 2.5A battery. Would like a bigger batter and a chainsaw. Been looking on Craigslist and Facebook marketplace for used but it's been hard to come by. I made a deal with someone and then they turned around and sold it to someone else the next day. Punk.

HD charges $219 for the battery itself, which of course is laughable. I think they do that to make the bundle seem like such a bargain. Nonetheless, I wouldn't call 25% off spectacular, but it is the best I've seen on the chainsaws. HD just recently had this on sale for $250 which wasn't enough to get me to bite. They once had their $200 blower on sale for 50% off for one day, so it's possible it could get cheaper. I just had a large tree fall into my back yard so I'm more motivated to purchase with this deal. If I had a new kid about to fall into my life, think I would hold off.

Thanks dude for the feedback on this, greatly appreciated. I was really looking for a "just buy it" comment to convince an impulse purchase but better to hold off.... I guess

Thanks. I bought the 14" for $199 in May. Haven't opened the box yet so I am going to return it and get this one for an extra $25!

Love the Ego product line but don't have much use for the chainsaw. Will keep waiting for a good deal on the LM2102SP to add to my collection.

I bought the 14" Chainsaw with 2.0amp battery and have been very pleased. Most of the time, if your just cutting up 1 or 2 small to medium trees, the smaller battery is sufficient. I never ran out of juice in processing of a smaller tree and some random branches. I have other EGO products and batteries so switching out wouldn't have been a problem. As far as power goes, as with most EGO products, I am often surprised and pleased with how much you get out of them. The chainsaw is no exception. The power is there until its not!
