Microsoft Surface Go is way overpriced for what it is. Not sure how to justify this purchase even with a 50GC thrown in. It 'should' be closer to 250-300 OTD.

So the big issue is whether windows works well as a tablet because this uses windows s (but can be upgraded for free to home) and it sounds like if you're looking for a laptoplike experience go for the regular surface instead.

It's a bit of a bump for surface 3 users but the 4gb of ram is imo a mistake. And 64gb uses emmc storage not a true ssd

You gonna get TD because for the specs, $350 is still overpriced. They really need to bundle the type cover for it to be a deal.

This honestly is going to be the best deal for this hardware for some time since this is a newly announced MS product with a $50 gift card. It's going to take some time before we see any real deals or bundles with this

lol. Yes, it could be cheaper, faster, better, stronger.. wait, isn't that a song?! LMAOLMAO

Anywho, in case someone out there is going to buy one - get yourself a $50GC - towards your keyboard. Applause

I ordered (2) basic versions with keyboard, mouse and pen. Not cheap but I have a business reason and will be testing these for employees in the field that only use O365 applications including MS CRM. I decided with the current Microsoft (e) rebate of 15% it was a good time to experiment. If they dont work out they will be going back. The surface pro footprint is just tad to large. My biggest concern is screen brightness outside. My Surface Pro is not great in outdoor light.

For me, Windows 10 in a tablet is a fail. And Microsoft is trying to make this tablet to compete with ipads in this pricepoint is like putting a lipstick in a pig. Though I would like to see some low powered laptops running this Kaby lake 6w pentium/celeron based cpu instead of the atom based soc's, or even better in chromebooks.

I don't understand the TD. The 50$ gift card is a great deal anytime.
And for the device, Surface Go is a much more capable device compared to an ipad both for productivity and multimedia consumption.
Not everyone can afford a regular surface.

Not bad for $350, the processor is pretty close to an M3. Don't know why they're using 1,800 x 1,200 resolution though, just weird.

Read pu-ster's reply. Thats why the TDs. Because they *think* its bad. Therefore it *must* be bad.

This is an okay deal. Need to see it in action. I need something that can run cad software for adjustment. Dont need a rendering machine.

I wouldn't agree with this. This looks like the cheaper version of the Surface tablets and it is awkward to use even if you use a keyboard cover with this. Another problem is that it doesn't come with the keyboard. Microsoft is trying to cut corners by putting mmc memory.

It is not me hating surface products, I have an Surface laptop and I love it. I wish they had released surface go laptop too and let the consumers decide.

I had no problem with the Surface 3.
My students had no problem bringing their iPad Pros and keyboard cover along with their surface tablets.
