I have this printer, it does everything it says it will... But as far as the duplex scanning, I've noticed the rollers that pick up the paper to suck it in will jam the paper WAY more often than it should. Maybe it's just my machine, but that is the only thing it doesn't do super smoothly. If the papers are bent or crinkled at all in any way, it struggles. With fine super flat, crisp paper it's ok. But even papers that have been stapled and had the staples removed, it'll catch on it.

YMMV.

Well, that's disappointing. I read some Amazon reviews. Reading similar stuff. Thanks.

Same experience for me. For the most part this isn't an issue though. I can just do the scanning manually when the need arises. I love this printer.

Super cheap.

I just replaced my toner with something generic on Amazon. $23 for a two pack. Working like a champ.

I have the same printer and have the same issue with duplex scanning. Now I just do it manually. Much easier. Good printer but had I known duplex scanning is pretty much manual then I may not have gotten this. Don't get it for that reason only.

This is a good deal. We have about 20 of these in our company and they are work horses. Our primary use is having users email scans directly from the machine w/out a computer. We replaced one from B&H for $200 and that was the lowest a month ago.

I bought that printer about a year ago for my office. We have several different types. This was the absolute worst. If you buy it, buy it with warranty because it went broke in less than a year.

without duplex scanning, this is no better than brother 2540DW.. that was sold for 90 dollars
i would replace my 2540DW in a heartbeat if the duplex scanner function works well.

decent printer. however mine has an issue with double sided printing. whenever the paper slides back in to print on the other side it jams up the printer. we strictly print only on one side now, and everything works fine. it is going on its 3rd year now. i buy after market toners for like $12 a pop

I've never used but for chromebook users this printer can connect to your wired network or wifi and be setup to work with Google cloud print. So easy to print from chromebooks and android devices. Also has airprint

I've always preferred brother MFC but newest models Ive had failures after few years of heavy use vs past 15,000 prints before any issues at all. (2 separtate unit scanner chip errors with line on page forceing reset only to return hours later, brother was bad to deal with swap out but did after sending tech to confirm at no cost)
