Dealers don't last. You will need to repolish twice a year.

Sealers don't last if you don't care for your headlights. The only reason why you have to polish and reseal them is because of the sun breaking down the sealer then getting to the plastic. With proper care from the beginning you never have to polish or seal them. Unless factory seal is of low quality.

If you missed that boat, then polish and seal them good. Then wash and WAX them like you do your paint. Wax protects from UV damage and should maintain the sealer. Had my car for almost 9 years now and I never had to polish or reseal my headlights. Minus a few scratches and chips, they are clear and clean as when I purchased them just b/c I wax my headlights when I do my car.

I used the 3m kit to sand them down clear. Followed up with a few coats of UV resistant clear coat. Used compound & polish to remove any popcorn and get them looking like glass. Haven't had any need to do anything other than a simple wash and wax which I do during car washes.

Don't waste your money on sealers.

I actually bought this a couple years ago. Works surprising well. Last about 12-18 months before it begins to cloud again a bit. Still have bottle. Would recommend.

Also look into Klasse on Amazon; works well on the whole car, not just the headlights. Not usually a slick deal though.. just a great product.

Opposite advise: Don't waste your Saturday morning sanding, buffing, cleaning, taping, and applying multiple coats of clear coat while avoiding dust particles.
