Nice camera with some cool features but auto focus is just too slow for anything but nature. G

highly suspect any pro photographers used this camera and without ever using it, cannot comment on anything.

that aside, WTF????????? Yi full blown cameras...........seems as if the barrier to entry to any market is just not a thing for the chinese.

Lol. Cheap Knockoff of Olympus mirrorless system. Yesterday deal for a epl-7 with lens for 249.00. No, not 4k video but great deal. Would not recommend this deal. Speaking as someone with 38 year in the photo industry and have had 26 mirrorless bodies over the last 12 years. Including Olympus, Panasonic, Sony and Fuji and even a Nikon V1 system. Never tried the Canon M series as was crippled to keep the Rebel series profit. But both Nikon and Canon will have a Pro Mirrorless system in 2019.

I would definitely look up pros reviews and not just Amazon's. From pro/semi-pro youtubers it looks like it has a problems with auto focus, complaints about white balance, unintuitive setting system etc. Apparently the jpgs that come out of it are bad but if you shoot raw (which you should) and use Lightroom or Darktable the detail is quite good. So while it can produce good images it also looks like you might be working against your camera on occasion. Would definitely recommend Olympus or Panasonic if you want a cheap camera with interchangeable lenses and room to grow.

FYI, this camera is not new to the market. It was introduced in China in 2016 and has been in the market for 2 years.

I second going for Panasonic or Olympus mirrorless. Panasonic if video is more important. Look at YouTube reviews for Yi camera. Not there yet.

Don't bother with this one. It's not very good at photo or video, has poor firmware and focusing issues. Maybe their next release will be better but this one just isn't as good as the competition.

Yi hasnt implemented H.265 HEVC encoding.. no want for me.
Also, I would be suspicious of weird features not working as expected.. like on the action cam they claim it supports a mic in, but fail to mention it is mono and ultra low bitrate.

Band H had the twin lens kit for 380 before it was discontinued.
Not a bad camera, but this twin lens kit price is ridiculous.
