Noticed this at Walmart for the 14 in model of the Direk-Tek laptop. Looks like the black one is still in stock as of now.

This one doesn't have touch but has a bigger screen than the 11.5 model on walmarts site.

Figured if anyone wanted a cheap Linux laptop it could be good.

Quite a few differences from the other Direkt-Tek laptop, notably no M.2 slot so you're stuck with the internal storage, No ac wifi (only b/g/n), Atom processor, no USB-C, no touch, no pen. It does have a much bigger battery (10,000mah) for the larger screen. Personally think if you had to go even cheaper, you're better off getting the $120 Atom version of the other one unless you must have a larger screen.

Yeah good comparison. I will still use it as it's mostly just a surfing laptop. I mostly care about having a reasonable large screen.

I guess if I don't like it returning it is not hard!

I was comparing it to this laptop, which for a while was priced at $149 but recently Walmart shot the price up to $299, which is overpriced for what it is.

The other Direkt-Tek you linked is the Atom version of that 2in1 laptop which is also missing the active pen and fingerprint sensor, but luckily that one is still $119. It'll be a little slower for basic tasks because of the lower clock speed and single core score.

The Lenovo has less RAM which will be an issue when keeping multiple browser tabs open. I personally wouldn't recommend trying to run Win10 on anything with less than 4GB of RAM. Even though I like Lenovo (I have a Yoga 720 and it has excellent build quality), the lower RAM really kills it as 4GB should be the bare minimum.

If the Direkt-Tek 2-in-1 I linked above was still priced at $149, I would wholeheartedly recommend that one. I picked one up and am surprised how good the build quality of it is. Maybe Walmart will drop the price back down as it fluctuated before though I've never seen it as high as $299 until now.

2nd place would go to the Atom version of the 2-in-1. You're still getting tablet functionality, a FHD touch display, and the M.2 slot to add a 2242 SSD for faster storage. If you had to buy something now and don't care about having a pen or fingerprint sensor or it being a little slower, it is a fine option at $119.

Depending on your budget, you could find something closer to $400-500 that would offer good bang for your buck with a better processor. I've been seeing some Ryzen laptops creeping into that range.
