For everyone who can not decipher the thread title: This is an arrowhead for bow hunting, or something.

$44.97 by me but I never jumped on the Rage bandwagon anyway. Been using the original 3 blade Muzzys for the last 25 years even with today's fast bows. Just over 2 1/2 months to go and I'm back in da woods!!!!!!!SmilieSmilie Just chowed my last package of venison burger last night.FrownFrown

After a twenty year absence from bow hunting I bought a crossbow and hunted with it last year. I took 20 year old three blade broadheads off my old arrows and simply screwed them on my crossbow bolts. Cost: zero. Results: Beautiful 8 point the second evening out. I can't for the life of me see why anyone would pay this kind of money for a questionable increase in performance.

Advertising trumps practice these days and Rage and Mathews are the best at it. They both sell good products.

Your high skill level and knowledge of a good shot put that buck down. Not the broadhead.
Now for the Rage, I love them and if you're shopping for new broadheads add them to consider.
These ones advertised, 100 gr, are likely too light anyhow except for light weight shooting.
Please make sure to know your gear, practice a lot, aim small, and have fun.

Were your 20 year-old broadheads 2 inches wide? I don't think it's hype (except maybe the somewhat debatable claim that they fly truer); they make a bigger cut. Typically that equals faster kills, e.g. more humane kills. Also, if a person didn't have 20 year old broadheads to use, they'd have to buy SOMETHING, and even fixed blade broadheads are expensive.

I'm new to crossbows. Will this work on the standard bolts that came with my crossbow?
