*We're sorry to say, but we've been subject to targeted abuse with users leveraging multiple accounts to aggregate additional free data. We have tried to battle the abuse by adding conditions around accounts with no data usage over several months, but unfortunately we have been forced to limit the friends sharing program.

You can now earn 5MB of additional data for every friend that joins our service per month, up to a maximum of 50MBs per month. Both your account and your friends account must be active. If either account has no data usage or activity, sharing data will not work.

How do I earn free data every month

You can earn additional free data each month by connecting with friends on FreedomPop! You'll earn 5MB of additional data for every friend that joins our service per month, up to a maximum of 50 MBs per month. Both your account and your friends account must be active. If either account has no data usage or activity, sharing data will not work.

You can also share data between friend accounts (a maximum of 50 MBs, and 5 MBs with each friend). The account sharing data must be an active one. If the account is inactive it cannot share data with any friends and data cannot be requested of that account.

What network does FreedomPop use?
All our 4G LTE GSM Sim Deals work off a TOP US GSM Provider to provide our users with Nationwide 4G LTE. If you aren't sure or want to know more, please feel free to PM us here.

Do I need a credit card on file?
No, this does not need a credit card at activation. However, if you want to purchase additional data because you have used up the 5GB with a 1 month period, then you will have to add a credit card. If you want to continue w/ service at the same price after the 12 month period, you will need to add a credit card.

Do I need to activate it?
Yes, please visit www.freedompop.com/activate after you have received your SIM card but a credit card is not required. You will also need to setup the APN and download the FreedomPop Messaging App. Please read and follow the instructions on the original packaging your SIM Kit arrived in.

What happens after your 12 month period?
You can choose to continue with our service at its original rate or not. You will be alerted prior to expiration asking you to login and provide a credit card in order to setup renewal. You will be able to add a payment method and renew at the rate of the plan you select after your first 12 month period!

Will I be able to keep my current FreedomPop number?
Yes! With this LTE SIM account you will first need to choose a new number and if desired to transfer over your number on an active FreedomPop account please contact us here for Admin assistance via PM or visit our Community Forums with your transfer requests.


What about the Basic Plan?
We will always offer our basic plan. Downgrade directly from your FreedomPop account page anytime once your SIM Kit ships and your service is activated.

Please Note! When downgrading to the basic plan, an account balance of $2 is required to protect from fraud and leakage, as data usage can be delayed up to 3 hours. There is a pop-up alert before to confirm a $20 charge to add credit into your account. Downgrade is not complete until the pop-up is accepted.

At least for me, it'd be a great deal if it's t-mobile. I'm currently paying mint mobile for $20 a month x 12month for 5gb. Can anyone confirm?

Free plan is throttled to 1mb down. Not sure what download speed is like on a paid plan.

Freedom pop is a bunch of thieves. I bought a sim that was supposed to give me phone access through wifi. Every time I try to use it I have to get a new phone number. There are 2 or 3 monthly $.01 charges on my credit card for no apparent reason. Stay away from these thieves.

Kinda silly since you have a golden opportunity to monetize a good percentage of free accounts. By not offering an easy migration path, your existing customers are likely to head to your competitors.
