Got an email today from Chase Sapphire Reserve with their new offers. One of them is to get an automatic statement credit of $10 when you pay your cable, internet, phone or car insurance bill with your chase sapphire reserve card. Payment must happen between 7/1 and 8/31.

Here are the T&C's:

$10 Statement Credit: You'll earn a $10 statement credit when you make a qualifying purchase in the reward categories listed below during the promotional period. For a purchase to qualify for this offer, the merchant must submit charges to your credit card by the last day of the promotional period 8/31/18. Please allow up to 8 weeks after qualifying purchases post to your account for statement credit to post to your account. To be eligible for this offer, your account must be open and not in default at the time of fulfillment. Rewards Categories: Internet, Cable, and Phone Service category merchants provide internet, cable, satellite television, radio, cellular, wireless data, and landline services. In addition, if you purchase or pay for your internet, cable and satellite television, phone or related services in a merchant's store that is not registered by the merchant in the applicable services category, the purchase or payment will not qualify; for example, phone bill payments in a merchant's store that register to Chase as a telephone equipment store. Insurance category merchants provide health, automobile, homeowners, medical, and life insurance. What determines whether a merchant falls into a category? Merchants who accept Visa/MasterCard credit cards are assigned a merchant code, which is determined by the merchant or its processor in accordance with Visa/MasterCard procedures based on the kinds of products and services they primarily sell. We group similar merchant codes into categories for purposes of making offers to you. Please note: We make every effort to include all relevant merchant codes in our categories. However, even though a merchant or some of the items that it sells may appear to fit within a category, the merchant may not have a merchant code in that category. When this occurs, purchases with that merchant won't qualify for offers on purchases in that category. Purchases submitted by you, an authorized user, or the merchant through third-party payment accounts, mobile or wireless card readers, online or mobile digital wallets, or similar technology will not qualify in a category if the technology is not set up to process the purchase in that category. This promotional offer is non-transferable.

I've never seen an email from them either. I already pay all those with my CSR so would be an easy $10 credit.

I have never received an email from CSR card about promotions, only when it's due or a statement is ready.

For this promo, it doesn't specify the minimum purchase, right? I think I'll pay $10 for my Internet and see what happens.

Thanks!

Back then it was, both me and my wife got a card for the 100k bonus. The $300 statement credit on travel per year is also great, makes it a $150 a year card.

We bought our Turks tickets using the points, I cancelled mine before the second year but we kept my wifes.

I believe they are only offering 50k points now.

haven't seen 100k since then and i highly doubt it'll be 100k again since they've had more applications than they could handle. on top of that, you're actually lessening their benefits.

I'm glad you posted this. I saved the email to reference if I didn't get my $10 credit. I saw those original terms as well when I clicked email for more info but when I did it just now it's saying the page has been removed. Did anyone receive their credit already?

If you make significant travel use of the chase ecosystem the card is still worth getting (almost as a no brainer) over any other paid chase card- and you must have a paid chase card to get max value out of the points.

This card is only $55/year net cost over the other paid cards, and for that you get all of the following over the others-

3x on travel and restaurants (vs 2x on the CSP)
1.5x in the portal (vs 1.25 with the others)
Free Priority pass with 2 free guests
$100 GE credit (once every few years)
Free roadside assistance

Plus higher limits on many of the insurance/purchase protection benefits

I saw a $10 credit on my statement and had no idea about this promotion. Is it a one time credit or if I pay more bills can I get more credits?

It's a one time credit for that promotion within that time period. When was your last automatic pay for the eligible categories? Wondering how long it takes to see the credit. Terms says up to 8 weeks to get the credit.
