FYI- the price is correlated to the price of gold so the reasons this is the lowest you've seen it is because gold is currently at a lower price than in the recent past.

Thanks for the info. But nobody sells at this price apart from this seller. Guess its sold out already.

The average price for a single varied year 1oz gold maple leaf is nearly 1350 by electronic payment as of today. So this was a great buy.

Why can't I see the seller or the ad when I click the link? Kinda weird.

This was what, $15 over spot? Nothing special about that price. Yes, gold is dropping, but that doesn't make $15 over spot a slick deal.

In other words, whether gold is a good buy at $1250 spot today is a separate argument to what is a slick deal.

You can find a Maples, Eagles or other 1 oz coin for $12-15 over spot almost every day. People who pay $100 over spot for these are just clueless. I'm not sure people buy them at that price, I think the sellers keep the prices high when their supply is low.

If you buy from a local shop. Yes it's true. But people who sell online had to account for transaction charges, shipping, securities. That's why it's 100$ more than the local shop.

Shows in stock for me just now, and even lower, $1,257.59. However I've found anytime this seller is pushing gold and silver coins, typically prices are trending downward.

And not everyone has a local shop or a reputable local shop to go to.

I sell back to this same company, but a GREAT way to easily mass credit card points.

I meant on Ebay you'll find it for $1360 and $1260, the same thing, quite often. Guess that's true of all products on ebay.

You need the Paypal credit card which pays 2%.

2% isn't that great? Hmm it does 2x on ebay, that's pretty nice. I'll have to try and find what 2x points can buy vs the chase sapphire reserved. I'm pretty happy with their points system.
