There are several versions of this model number, including a TN one. To make sure you're comparing apples add "UM.HX2AA.D03" yo your search.

If you're planning to use dual monitors, this has the same bezels as the Acer XB271HU - so wouldn't be a bad idea to get this to tide you over then get the XB271HU later Smilie

I'm currently using one 29 UW but i'll probhbaly just buy one monitor. I was thinking a 34 UW but not sure if this or the XB27 is an over all better deal, i'm not really wanting to spend over 600 before tax.

Very different monitors. The other one is a G-Sync panel which surely is better anyday for a Nvidia user. Also, a GTX 1080 would be able to leverage the 2K at higher refresh rate and you'll enjoy the content much more.
It's like you don't miss out on much if you're using a 60 Hz (or 75Hz) panel but once you jump to 120+, there's no coming back...

The point would be to use the XB271HU with this as a secondary monitor later on

I got this exact monitor from Newegg for 220$ six months ago and I love it. I don't see any backlight bleed, true high quality IPS, great brightness and contrast and colors. I'm not a gamer, can't comment on that part.

Yeah, I actually responded to the your post instead of the one you gave your solution to. Yep, this would be a good secondary no doubt.
