Non play versions are usually cheaper and have better specs. Don't waste your money on these.

$70 direct from Verizon. It can be unlocked by Verizon after $50 worth of activation on Verizon . Some of us actually need the Verizon network.

But the play version has bigger battery. And for the G6 the play version uses a regular USB port, so I wouldn't have to buy a bunch of new cables.

If you want to sacrifice bigger battery over specs you can do that. However note that the regular models have better processors and battery management which makes the regular ones better. I have the moto g4 play I can tell you it's trash considering I got the E4 for cheaper and it runs a lot better.
