Well, there us such a thing as low quality metal bits. Can't speak for these, personally, but I have no problem believing someone could break an inexpensive bit in a screwdriver. An impact driver would almost certainly destroy these bits in quick order.

After shearing off a cheap bit like this in my impact drive I'll never trust these types.. Best to spend a buck and get Milwaukee or Dewalt
