Newegg has the Thrustmaster T150 PRO Racing Wheel with T3PA Wide 3-Pedal Set - PS4/PS3/PC on sale for $150 after applying coupon code EMCPWES25. Shipping is free with ShopRunner account, otherwise it is $5.99.

As near as I can tell this beats the lowest sale price for the PRO version by $25.

This was on sale at Wal-Mart for $139 a few months ago with free shipping. This is still a good deal on a very nice entry-level wheel. Most believe it's better than the G27 and G29.

That is the T150. This one is the T150 PRO.

I believe the wheels themselves are the same (?) but the pedals that come with the Pro are significantly better quality (and there's 3 of them). As I mentioned in the OP, according to my search on SD the previous low for the T150 Pro is $175, so @ $150 this is a pretty good deal.

My bad. I copied the wrong one. Here it is:

https://slickdeals.net/f/11301175-thrustmaster-ferrari-458-spider-racing-wheel-xbox-one-65-more-free...

And, it was $129.99. I snagged one https://static.slickdealscdn.com/ima...lies/smile.gif
I didn't notice the T150 Pro in that listing - that was a good deal! Wish I had been paying attention back in February!

I think Suzanne Somers sold me one of these in the early 90s.

I've always looked at these but never have been able to use one.
I've owned cars so I know what makes a good pedal, had to replace the slick bastards in an Acura TL manual with some with grip, but what makes one steering wheel better than another?
Are we talking materials or better components?
gave rep. already in thanks in advance

I'm sorry but I don't actually own this wheel (or any actually - I just really want one...) so I'm not a lot of help. From what I understand though, the Thrustmaster wheels are preferred over the Logitech wheels due to being direct gear driven, rather than the belt drive that Logitech uses. Other than that it probably comes down to personal preference as well. Good luck!

U r not a car enthusiast then. Steering feedback, rotational resistance, n yes, materials of the rim r some factors that distinguish what is called "steering feel." Ever driven any other cars that the steering felt different from ur TL?

This is a pretty good deal if you have the T300rs with the crappy pedals. Buy this and use the pedals on the T300, then put your old pedals with this wheel and sell it online. Probably get pretty close to breaking even.

Easy there youngblood... I remember my first beer too... if you're coming at me like this sober, I'd be even more concerned.
I have no idea why I'm indulging this idiocy but I am indeed a "gear head", "car enthusiast"? lol That has a feminine, elitist quality to it to me kind of like the word "foodie" or blogger... anyways...

Don't know what the devil you're on about in making such a wild jump in assumption.
I asked what makes one GAMING steering wheel stand out enough in terms of quality compared to a price wise comparable one made by the same company.
The market is overwhelming and since they do not allow you to demo them in the store, I asked what really stands out in the other members opinion.

I know what I like in the steering feedback in a vehicle but that's not the same thing at all as a gaming controller past having a good grippy steering wheel itself that's weighty but not tiring.

The steering feedback in a vehicle is a extraordinarily complex dynamic of combinations of an immense amount of systems- from electronic to hydraulic- even down to the temperature of the tires and the road.

There's no way I am buying what I think you're saying in that these $150 controllers can even begin to simulate that and frankly, not what I'm looking for.
I don't want something trying to simulate the feeling of thousands of lbs of sprung and unsprung weight because it's not going to come close to the real thing and will be gimmicky like how BMW has started using electronically simulated engine noise to make a hypermiler, fuel efficient car feel like they're hitting the needle hard.

You, kid, are way out of your depth.

You sound like one of these knuckleheads that buys a mossy oak steering wheel cover, a K&N "performance" air filter (which everyone knows really does add 30 hp to your vehicle immediately... LMAO) and a fake carbon fiber simulated non functioning hood scoop from pep boys and crises down the road thinking they've improved their car in any real way...

Thanks actually. That helps a lot. I would prefer something mechanical that has gears vs a belt which is only going to get worse with age.

This has both gear and a belt. The step up from this in the Thrustmaster lineup for PS4 and PC is the T300 and it is belt driven and much, much better than the Logitech G29 gear driven system that has a dead zone, much weaker force feedback, and way worse steering feel. FFB for games doesn't really simulate what a real steering wheel does totally accurately but it does allow you to know whats going on in your sim car. And gear drive systems for that pretty much suck.

This T150 is a good compromise for a starter wheel. It is far less quality than a T300 but O would take it over a Logitech (though Logitech pedals are better).

The best wheels are direct drive (no belt, just a motor to wheel) but cost hundreds or even thousands of dollars.
