Great deal for one with a locking lid. I really like the ones with digital timers that you choose the cook time, and it automatically sets to "warm" setting one the timer is up. If that feature is not needed, this is worth getting.

Just FYI, normally runs about $28/30 shown on camelcamelcamel

Little suspicious after last years prime day. Jacked up their crock pot prices weeks in advance, so they could discount them for prime day.

I have this exact model in stainless steel, as well as a black 2-quart for single dinners and a 20 oz crockpot brand food warmer. Just make sure to wash the lid well, especially around the rubber edges. I found that the aroma from my last cooked meal tends to stick around unless I soak it for a few hours.

These things are insanely easy to use and reliable for cheap cooking. If you don't own one already, buy this and enjoy saving some $$ on food so you can... well... spend it on frivolous stuff here on SD!

Dang it. SD! Stop making me spend money. I've got a 4 qt and been wanting a bigger pot. Looks like time to pull the trigger.

As somebody who cooks nearly daily with slow cookers, I recommend spending the extra money on one with electronic setting input so it will automatically go into keep warm when the cooking time is over. It's pretty inconvenient to have to set it manually to keep warm.

1 Can I use this to do rotisserie chicken?

2 Then I transfer to the oven later for the browning effect.

No. Its a slow cooker, not a rotisserie. They two very different ways of cooking. You need a rotisserie oven or grill attachment on a grill to rotisserie.
