ESPN Magazine is a waste of paper. Only thing that might make it worth getting is if it comes with a free ESPN Insider subscription.

Which it always does. BUT, they make it harder than pulling teeth to activate.

Could you elaborate? I wanted to get this just for the Insider access.

Wired was the worst mag I ever subscribed to. Just advertisements and opinions, not real tech.

It's just a hassle to activate your insider account. Then they make it expire every year even if you have 5 or 10 or 100 years left on your subscription. I ended up having to call in and get them to do it over the phone. I actually still get the magazine but my insider account isn't active and I have no interest in dealing with them. I really don't even go to ESPN.com these days in general.

This has not been my experience. I have had two different 2 year subs and only had to activate it once I received my firet mag.

this is absolutely true.

Strangely, my sub has been expired for a couple months but my insider still works.
