single membership is $2.99 per month, so if you only have 1 kid, its still cheaper to go with the monthly plan which is $36 per year.

If all you want is videos, stick with netflix. But Kindle Freetime comes with book and app/game integration as well.

New customers only, and prepaid plan, but still a great deal.

Fellas, is this better selection than Netflix?

Always had so much trouble getting freetime to work on amazon fire. Wasn't worth the price for me vs. just using parental controls and installing content I chose.

Are we sure this isn't open to existing customers? I know it says it isn't, but I have the family freetime plan already. I was able to add it to my cart and get all the way to checkout without any message about already having an account. I didn't finish purchasing, but I figured somewhere along the way it would stop me from adding it.

Thanks, I signed up for free month trial to see if it's worthwhile. It would only be for one child (the younger one is too wild for formal education Smilie) so the $2.99 would be the way to go after the free month.
