Heads up.

Credit goes to handmadedumpling on reddit.

I've been waiting to purchase MARIO kart 8 deluxe.
Good for the peeps who want digital.

You can change the region on your switch and purchase.

Isn't this a solid discount for first party titles? Why is this getting TDs?

Because somebody here wanted this deal to be cheap—cheaper than before and of course available on USA region.

Obviously, it a weak logic to thumb down this deal. What some users here tend to forget is that any discount on firstly party Nintendo title is a great deal.
Nintendo RARELY does so in digital games. E3 sales was a clear example of this. The more discount the better.

If one thumbs down this deal but thumbs up on pre order smash bros with free $10 reward certificate at Best Buy then they're full of it. Talk about hypocrisy 😑

Maybe. In any case it's a shame that others will miss out on this deal because of the TDs.

I think switch region from your Nintendo account online.

Be warned that switching regions on your current account requires you to zero out your eShop balance (or else you get an error trying to change regions). If you have a balance (some people do since they buy eShop GCs at a discount), you have to use it up first.

This is from my research and I couldn't find a source. If this is wrong, please correct me.

I think there's a section where you can indicate which country?

On nintendos site they mention if a region is available for the origin country of your credit card, you'll be unable to use it for a different region. Not sure if you could add an eShop card from like Amazon after switching regions.

I've always used paypal after switching regions, I usually buy most of my games from Mexico shop, never have purchased from japan though.
